One of the best things about acrylics as a medium is you can just start again.

And that's what I did in this one.

I had a painting I wanted to retire and give the canvas new life. In order to do that, I painted over it first with white gesso and then with a red acrylic paint to act as my colored ground.

Do you see the dark peeking through the red photo? That's the previous painting peeking through.

Canvas size: 8x8 inches square; 1/2 inch depth

Each acrylic painting is painted on stretched canvas ready to frame or hang. Bits of the red underpainting show through at edges.

Sides painted black.
